The fogs quiet prayer
Some walks are meant to last a lifetime.
Others are meant to teach you how to keep walking when the footsteps beside you disappear.
I used to think the beauty was in having someone beside me. The conversations, the laughter, the silence between two people who didn’t need words.
But somewhere along the way, I realized I was never alone.
I found myself walking through the hills,
feeling the salt in the air,
watching the gold on the bridge
and listening to the fog’s quiet prayer.
There were moments when I thought I had lost someone, only to discover that I had found a deeper part of myself.
The streets looked the same, but I wasn’t.
Every step carried a memory. Every shadow held a lesson. Every sunrise reminded me that God was still writing a story I couldn’t see yet.
Maybe that’s what these walks were always about.
Not where we were going.
Not who stayed.
Not who left.
But who I was becoming along the way.
So I keep walking.
Sometimes with memories.
Sometimes with questions.
Sometimes with a camera in my hand and nothing but silence around me.
But always with faith.
Because I finally understand.
Some people walk beside you, some people walk away.
And some walks are simply the universe walking with you.
